Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Trevor Crabb began playing volleyball at 3 years old on the infamous Baby Court at Outrigger Canoe Club. These courts have produced 12 volleyball Olympians including legends Stein Metzger, Lindsey Berg (cousin), Clay Stanley, Kevin Wong and Mike Lambert. Trevor grew up playing alongside his Olympian younger brother, Taylor Crabb, as well as many other influential volleyball players worldwide: Tri Bourne, Micah Christenson, the Shoji Brothers and The McKibbin Brothers.

Despite his love for playing on the beach and playing for Outrigger's indoor club team for many years, he opted not to play high school volleyball at Punahou - a dynasty over the last 15 years in Hawaii.

Instead, he had aspirations of playing basketball professionally, so he attended Puget Sound to play basketball after helping lead Punahou to a state championship victory. After a couple of years, the itch to play volleyball returned and he transferred to Long Beach State to play Outside Hitter next to his brother -- a fairly unprecedented occurrence to make the team without playing a single volleyball game in high school or college up to that point.

After graduating, Trevor made a beeline for the beach and didn't waste any more time playing indoors. In his first full year on the AVP Tour in 2014, he won the Newcomer of the Year Award. He went through a carousel of partners for many years, including a stint with his brother, before coming up just short of the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 with longtime friend Tri Bourne

They were ranked in the top 16 in the world but barely missed qualifying due to being the 3rd ranked US team. In 2023-2024, Trevor teamed up with one of the best blockers in the world, Theo Brunner, and they had a great run but just barely missed a bid for the 2024 Olympics.

In 2025, he partnered up with 4x Olympian and Gold Medalist Phil Dalhausser and ended up winning the AVP League Title along with his first MVP award.

Trevor has won more AVP titles in the last 5 years than any other AVP Athlete, including 4 of the last 6 Manhattan Beach Open Titles from 2020-2025. Because of his brash nature, tournament guarantees and willingness to talk a little trash, many have labeled him the "Villain of Volleyball" as outlined in this great video by the McKibbin Bros.

For some fun interviews with other beach volleyball players and to learn a little more about the Crabb brothers, check out their two seasons of "Drinking Whiskey with the Crabbs."

Trevor and his brother co-founded the Crabb Classic in Honolulu in an effort to bring some pro beach volleyball action back to their hometown. It features youth and adult skills clinics and a Coed 4's Tourney and occurs in January each year.
